About Us

We’re Glenda and Sonny, a mother-daughter duo with a shared love for weaving, creativity and all things toi Māori. From our home studio, we’ve created a space to experiment with our ideas, explore possibilities, and refine our creations.

Mum, a Toi Iho artist, is always pushing boundaries with her bold, contemporary designs. She’s also a talented florist, crafting everything from event decorations to bespoke bouquets.

 

I tend to lean towards traditional forms and neutral tones, bringing a grounding balance to our work. Together, we celebrate all styles and approaches, making space for both the old and the new.

We are deeply grateful to our teachers, Tina Wirihana and Matekino Lawless, and to our roopu, Te Roopu Raranga ki Rotorua, for their guidance and knowledge. Their teachings continue to inspire everything we do.
