About the event
We’re gathering expressions of interest for a harakeke paper-making workshop.
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the full process of transforming harakeke into unique handmade paper.
We’ll start with preparing and softening the harakeke fibres, then move on to breaking them down into pulp. You’ll see how the pulp is formed into sheets using mesh screens, pressed to remove excess water, and dried to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind paper.
All materials and tools will be provided, and you’ll take home the paper you make.
